What a great weekend! We loved watching conference- it was different watching it in the Stake Center as opposed to on the couch in my PJs, but it definitely helped me stay awake. There were so many answers to my prayers within those talks I loved them so much! I loved Elder Bednar's talk on Tithing- I loved the way he described the blessings from tithing. Elder Holland's was fantastic as well...as always. It helped me gain a better perspective on how to help those we teach/ come in contact with with mental challenges- no matter how subtle they may seem. I also really liked President Uchtdorf's talk. I loved when he said to doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. I have used that a lot already in addressing concerns.
We had an amazing experience with our investigator Yamilet this week. She is a pretty quiet girl but on Wednesday she was all bubbly! She told us how excited she was to read the Book of Mormon and is still taking time out of her lunch breaks to read the Book of Mormon. After the lesson she told us that she was reading her Book of Mormon at 6:00 one morning (What??) and she recieved the most distinct answer to her prayers that it was true! She was pretty nervous about her baptism on November 9th last week, but she told us that she is ready now. She has already announced to her friends and family she is becoming Mormon and she has such a light about her! I love the power of the Book of Mormon in conversion!!
